Best in 650,000 Years!
Posted by Dan Stafford on 2008-09-26

We're number 1! That's right, the average world CO2 concentration in 2007 is the highest it's been in 650,000 years, according to the Global Carbon Project.

As if that weren't enough, the growth of emissions in 2007 was more than it has been in years.

This only underscores the reality that while the last few years the idea of global warming has become firmly embedded in the public's consciousness, action on behalf of our world's leaders has been in short supply.
