What's the Problem?
Simply put, we are pumping too much pollution into the air. The two biggest sources of global warming pollution are from our vehicles and electricity production. If we addressed these two problems alone, we could change more than 70 percent of the problem.

One of the primary problems is coal. We rely on coal for nearly 50 percent of our electricity. In comparison, we get only two percent from clean energy sources such as wind and solar power.
One of the biggest shifts that we can make in the fight against global warming is to end our dependence on coal by significantly boosting our production of clean energy.
According to the Department of Energy, the U.S. has the technical potential to get four times its total electricity needs from renewable energy. In the next 15 years alone, we could get 20 percent of our electricity from clean energy sources. Also, by investing in energy efficiency technologies, we could significantly reduce the amount of electricity that we use. These solutions would save consumers billions of dollars, provide communities across America with an economic boost and help solve global warming.
Instead, the federal government continues to favor outdated, polluting energy sources such as coal, oil and gas.
