Tell your U.S. senators: Public lands belong in public hands

Sen. Mike Lee just proposed selling off millions of acres of public lands across the West.
The U.S. Senate is aiming to vote on this proposal in the next couple of weeks.
That’s why we need to speak out and tell our U.S. senators: Public lands belong in public hands.
Across eleven Western states, vast swathes of forests, deserts and mountains could soon be on the auction block. These are the public lands that wild animals call home, and where Americans are free to hike, camp, and experience nature.
If this proposal passes, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service would be required to sell two to three million acres of public lands to the highest bidder.
How do you put a price on public lands — or on the wild animals that call them home?
It’s the responsibility of the federal government to protect and preserve these places so that they can benefit generations to come.
Tell your U.S. senators: Don’t sell off public lands.
