Protect Mississippi River wildlife from forever chemicals

The Mississippi is a crucial waterway. It’s home to 25% of all fish species in North America and provides a migratory flyway for 60% of all North American birds. Pouring PFAS into such a vital waterway threatens not only people but also wildlife with the myriad health harms linked to these “forever chemicals.”

3M pledged to “work to discontinue use of PFAS” by the end of 2025, which shows a recognition that these toxic chemicals do not belong in our environment. I urge you to stay true to that commitment and stop dumping more PFAS “forever chemicals” into the Mississippi River.
