Protect Sonoran Desert wildlife
Secretary Deb Haaland,
The Sonoran Desert is thought to have the greatest species diversity out of any North American desert, home to birds, tortoises, coyotes and countless other wildlife. It’s also the ancestral home of the Yuma Quechan Tribe. An ecosystem so abundant with wildlife, and a region so culturally significant, isn’t something we should sacrifice to mining and extraction.
I urge you to protect this culturally and ecologically rich desert landscape for generations to come by establishing the Kw’tsán National Monument.
