Dear Administrator Regan,

To protect our planet, wildlife and public health, we urge you to designate vinyl chloride as a ‘high priority’ substance and phase out its production, use and sale as soon as possible.

On top of being a known carcinogen, vinyl chloride is linked to a number of other health concerns, from neurological damage to liver disease. And it’s estimated that there are unplanned releases of this toxic substance into our air on average once every 5.3 days.

Continuing to use vinyl chloride in plastic products will put humans and wildlife at unnecessary risk. Please phase out toxic vinyl chloride to ensure a safe and healthy future for us, our planet and the creatures we share it with.
