Tell EPA: Stop PFAS-contaminated fertilizer
When toxic PFAS “forever chemicals” enter our environment, they’re here to stay, causing untold health issues for humans and wildlife alike.
The EPA recently issued a warning that PFAS has been detected in sewage sludge used as fertilizer. Once these toxic chemicals enter our environment through our farmlands, they can go on to contaminate soil, groundwater, crops and wildlife.
I urge the EPA to stop PFAS-contaminated sludge from being used as fertilizer for the health of humans, wildlife and the natural world.
