Tell Gov. Dunleavy to end the bear slaughter
Dear Gov. Dunleavy,
I strongly urge you to end the Alaskan government’s indiscriminate and unscientific killing of bears on Alaskan public lands. As even some state scientists have reported, bears are key to the health of Alaska’s ecosystems. Reducing their numbers won’t help the caribou, but it will diminish Alaska’s wild places.
Furthermore, shooting animals from helicopters is an inhumane practice. For the good of Alaska’s great wilderness, I urge you to end these policies.
