Tell your governor: Stop the purchase of wasteful plastic bottles by state agencies
Much of the plastic waste in our landfills or floating in the ocean was used only once, often for just a few minutes, before being tossed in the trash or littered.
Plastic bottles are less necessary than ever, with reusable bottles and filling stations increasingly easy to find. In 2023, Massachusetts proved that, when Gov. Healey signed an executive order to end the purchase of single-use plastic bottles by state agencies. Other states can and should do the same.
