Tell your U.S. House representative: Support the Snowmobiles Aren’t Weapons Act
Running down a wild animal with a snowmobile is incredibly inhumane — but this practice is increasingly common in places like Wyoming.
Many of us learned this for the first time this spring, when a Wyoming gray wolf named Theia was run over with a snowmobile and crippled. Then, with her mouth duct taped shut, she was paraded around a bar, before eventually being brought out back and shot.
No part of this was ethical, and no part of this should have been legal — and after months of stalling, Wyoming has failed to take any action to address the problem.
I urge you to support the Snowmobiles Aren’t Weapons Act, which would ban using a motor vehicle to kill wolves and coyotes on federal land.
