Tell your U.S. senators: Don’t erase federal protection for wolves
Dear Senators,
Please vote “no” on legislation to erase Endangered Species Act protections for gray wolves.
The Endangered Species Act is the strongest tool we have to protect vulnerable wildlife from extinction, and we know that when wolves lose that protection, they are slaughtered unsustainably. When wolves were delisted in early 2021, Wisconsin killed hundreds of wolves — 1 out of every 5 in the state — in just a couple of days.
Wolves were once nearly driven extinct in the Lower 48 states, and they still have yet to recover in the vast majority of their historical range. I strongly urge you to support wolf conservation and vote “no” on legislation that would open the door to radically expanded wolf hunting nationwide.
