Protect the Boundary Waters from mining
The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness — America’s most visited canoeing spot — is a beloved wilderness expanse that is home to a variety of endangered species.
The newly proposed Superior Forest Restoration Act would reverse protections for the Boundary Waters and would invite destructive sulfide-ore copper mining in the headwaters of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Sulfide-ore mining poses threats to the watershed and all of the wildlife that call this area home.
